Job Title: Financial Controller
Reports to: Group Finance Director
Direct Reports: Finance team (3 direct management reports)
Purpose of the job: Lead and manage the performance of STRI Group’s finance function, devising and driving more effective and efficient business finance operations through technology and process innovation.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for the group’s accountancy operations including but not limited to STRI Ltd, STRI Australia, SportsTurf Consultants, Carrick Sports Construction, The Environmental Protection Group Ltd, Mashup Analytics and any further acquisitions
- Line management responsibility for a team of 3
- Work alongside any outsourced finance functions, including audit and payroll
- Issue timely and complete financial statements, including both management accounting and management reporting
- Cashflow forecasting
- Devise and drive more effective and efficient business finance operations through technology and process innovation
Person Specification:
- Degree qualification
- Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- At least 2 years’ experience in a complex financial and commercial environment
- Experience across all areas of financial management and reporting
- High standard of Microsoft Office experience
- Experience of Xero, WorkflowMax and EvolutionM is beneficial
- Experience of the construction industry is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective planning and time management skills
- Self-starter
